Time flies when you have fun, and the second chapter in the 2022 book started today.
It is when most New Year’s Resolutions are a blast of the past.
One thought I got from a video from Mel Robbins, where she was talking about procrastination.
People often don’t have problems setting a goal but getting things started. In this video, she pointed out that people aren’t procrastinators; they have only developed habits.
And it is possible to break out of the pattern. She has developed a 4 step process to break the pattern:
Acknowledge the stress
Count 5–4–3–2–1
Interrupt the procrastination habit
Do just a small thing (like in Atomic Habits)
Her research shows that 80% of people get out of the vicious cycle using this method.
